<p>Interested in how Kalshi works? It is the first fully regulated exchange where you can purchase and sell contracts based on the outcome of events. For example, if NASA announces a manned mission to the moon, the prices of these event contracts reflect the traders' beliefs about the likelihood of its occurrence. Clearing services for Kalshi are provided by CFTC-regulated clearinghouse LedgerX LLC, which safeguards members' funds and facilitates trade clearing.</p>

<p>In contrast to options, event contracts on Kalshi enjoy simplicity. Options are complex instruments with numerous factors influencing their prices, making them challenging to predict accurately. In the case of Kalshi's event contracts, prices reflect traders' perceived likelihood of the event occurring.</p>
